In the moments when
She
Looked to the brilliant violet sky
Searching to find replacements
For the stars snatched from her eyes
And
Crushed in the center of a powerful
Palm
She;
Consistently hardening
In a world that denies her softness
Accusations of submissiveness
Torn between
Aggression and Servitude
She;
Earning space
Both invisible
and
Not invisble enough.
Sending love letters to
Soft hips
Soft stomachs
Softness
She;
Curling up in the comfort of
Quiet
She;
Shifting through thoughts too
Loud
She;
Trying to remember what it felt like to just
Be
She.
This is very beautiful. Keep writing!
WOW this is incredible! Love this!
wow! n entire poem that talks to a woman of the irony in this patriarchal land where she can neither please nor feel the breeze!
Lovely!!!!
I love this! I read your “About” page too and your story really stood out to me. Unfortunately, I suffer from depression as well a few other mental illnesses (which is what I created my blog for). I really love the idea of being able to reach out to so many people who can relate to us and help us on our journey’s.
I’m really happy that you enjoyed my poem 😀 And I definitely agree, I like the fact that this space is so easy to reach out to others through
